This concludes today's look at a couple who have entirely too much fun in stores where EVERYTHING'S A DOLLAR!! (except the things that aren't....)

Ok, so I've seen many posts of yumminess....here is mine!

Yesterday was my future SIL's birthday...she's got a major lovin' for my fettuccine portabella....so I promised it to her for dinner.....



MORE MUSHROOMS! We need many more mushrooms...and some marsala!
here's where we start by giving some red onions a little sweat time in some olive oil...then add some garlic, spices and once we have a good sweat going...drop in some marsala.....then come the SHROOMS!!!

and here it is all done up nice and purty like....pasta, alfredo, many shrooms.....




















and what good is pasta without some bread....with a mixture of minced and roasted garlic, Italian herbs and spices and some sundried tomato and basil mozzarella on top?














So Bug serves up the bread....
















and FSIL says (and I really do quote)
















"If I were wearing jeans, they'd be unbuttoned"



I'd say it was a successful dinner :-D

I needed that this morning....there's a rather large decision in front of Bug and Eye.....(sorry, couldn't resist) and I've been seeking God's guidance....and this morning....I thought I heard Him speak...and I got frustrated because I wasn't sure...."God, is this You? or is it me wanting it to be You?"

Ever have a day like that? where you think just maybe you're headed in the right direction....but then you wonder if you're pushing God's hand? but then again....it's not quite in your comfort zone, so it's got to be God, right?

hmm...things to ponder on a muggy Tuesday morning....

Not my will, but Thine be done, oh Lord.

well....the couple decided against purchasing my house....
so...I'm going to be looking for a realtor this week...
I'm ok, I guess. I have to be. I know God has a plan, and I knew there was a possibility that this wasn't going to pan out and...well, it has to happen eventually....
so here we go....
I guess my prayer request is this: peace, strength, wisdom and God's will for this house.

weekend...

so...it was a busy busy weekend....here's the short version....

Friday night I did some girly touches around the house because I had gotten a call Thursday - a friend of my N brother's had heard about the house, wondered if it was going up for sale anytime soon and how much do I want...

So I called them back and set an appointment for them to come see the place on Saturday...they seemed to really like it but said they needed some time to talk...so we'll see.

Army bro coudn't make it out...pray that the things that prevented him from making the trip are resolved....

Saturday afternoon Mom, my K sister, two uncles, my J brother and a grandfather came to the house to move the fence (it's now bordering the land between the fire hall and my house so the backyard is now HUGE and paint shutters (now hunter green) and powerwash the siding...all looks incredible!

Sunday afternoon...Bug goes to tie my hanging muffler back up until I have time to get it fixed...we realize there is no tying it up...so MY Bug replaced it!! I'm so proud of him!! Suffice it to say he's usually not the mechanical type...but he did a wonderful job and I'm happier than a pig in slop!

see! there he is!! (yes, tilt your head.)

*contented sigh*

Car goes in for brakes tomorrow....Army bro is in town next weekend...two weeks after that NJ for a wedding....
the busy season is upon us....so breathe deep and press on and remember that the Joy of the Lord IS our strength!!

I'll take it!

This morning, as I enjoy an ever healthy breakfast of a twinkie and bottle of water, I'm finding joy in the little things...It was 73º when I left this morning....twinkies taste really good ya know?

Bug and I (or eye if you really prefer) are in the midst of some huge decision making....we're seeking God's will and earnestly looking for clear answers....too bad God doesn't deal in neon billboards with our names on them....but still...it's pretty cool that the Creator of the universe - the one who knit it all together....he cares about what we do enough to guide us.

Last night I babysat - a nearly three year old and a 6 week old. As I fed that tiny baby his bottle I looked at him and agreed with Bug for the millionth time - How can you look at a baby and NOT believe in God? The intricate nature of a human being, knit together....it's amazing.

I felt the same way the first time I saw my heart on an echo cardiogram....something that intricate, that finely designed, and people can DOUBT GOD? dude....

But I digress...anyway...as I was holding the baby and talking to the toddler, I was reminded again of how great our God is - his attention to detail, his thoughts put into everything...and my heart is filled with praise.

So today, on this lovely Friday....Make a joyful noise and sing to your Heavenly Father - He WILL yet fill our mouths will laughter!!
